Bio:

Hello and welcome to my photography site. Several years ago I embarked upon an arduous quest to become a professional sports photographer. But being an aspiring professional sports photographer in today’s evolving media marketplace is a long shot at best.  Not wanting to be defined by what could have been, I set my sights upon relentlessly pursuing this goal. Who am I? I was born and raised in the cradle of professional football, Canton, Ohio, the son of a high school football coach. As long as I can remember, sports have always been a part of my life. After graduating college with a Computer Science degree, I moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where I currently reside and work as a corporate IT professional. My first exposure to sports photography was during the film era of the early 90’s shooting college basketball for the Jacksonville University media guide. From that first experience began a passion for photography that continues to this day. Combining a lifelong love of sports and photography, I have honed my craft with many years of shooting every sporting event my life would allow. My photographic journey has taken me places I never could have imagined, from dusty sun-baked sandlots, to small-town Friday night lights, to the sidelines of the NFL on Sunday afternoons. Yet as much as I love taking photographs, the friends I've made and the experiences I've had along the way, are far more valuable to me than the thousands of images I worked so hard to capture. Only time will tell if I’ll ever reach my goal, and the photographs on this site are the road map of the journey I took to get there. Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you enjoy it!
